1:09 p.m.: Police arrested a man for disturbing the peace on the 2900 block of North Mac Arthur Drive after a woman reported that he had banged his head on the ground while he bled from his knife-clenched hand.

The man said that he knew where she lived, what color phone she had, what bathroom and what times she usually frequented it at school, and that he was going to be there waiting for her.

She said a Middle Eastern man with a think accent in his late 60s said this to an employee in the paint department and did buy plastic and duct tape. The employee confirmed that the man did say that to him.

The dispatcher said he or she could hear her son over the phone saying that “he feels alive with the knife in his hand.” He also said that he was not going to hurt officers but refused to put the knife down. The argument turned out to be over a pocket knife.
